This retreat is about much more than yoga. Yes, we’ll practice yoga every day, but we’ll also explore well-being through workshops and reflection, experience Greek food and culture, spend time in nature, and have plenty of space to relax and enjoy yourself.
This is our fourth Greece retreat, and we’ve adjusted and refined the experience every year based on what we’ve learned and the feedback we’ve received. We put a lot of thought into the little details because we want you to feel genuinely cared for throughout the retreat. Our hope is that you can lean back, let us take care of the logistics, and simply enjoy your time here.
There’s also something really special about experiencing Greece with people who know and love the country. With Dimitris joining us and our local connections, we get to share a more personal and authentic side of Greece, alongside all the things that make a retreat feel special: great food, beautiful surroundings, yoga, well-being, and good people.
If you’re looking for a retreat that feels thoughtful, relaxed, nourishing, fun, and a little bit luxurious, this might be for you.

The retreat takes place on the beautiful Greek island of Aegina, just a 40-minute ferry ride from Piraeus port in Athens. Aegina is known for its picturesque landscapes, ancient archaeological sites, beautiful sunsets, and, of course, its delicious pistachios.
We’ll be staying at LaLiBay Resort & Spa, a luxurious five-star, adults-only hotel set right by the sea. It’s the perfect place to slow down, relax, and have some time for yourself, with a beautiful spa, great food, peaceful surroundings, and stunning views of the ocean.
This will be our fourth retreat at LaLiBay, and we’re so happy to be returning. We’ve loved working with the team there and have found it to be the perfect setting for our retreat in Greece. This setting helps us create the kind of relaxing and luxurious experience we want for this retreat.

No two days on the retreat will be exactly the same, and that’s intentional. We’ve designed the program to give you a balanced mix of movement, experiences, great food, time together, and plenty of space to simply relax.
You might start your morning with a coffee or tea on your private balcony, taking in the view of the sea, or head straight down to the beach for our morning yoga practice. After a relaxing shavasana while listening to the sounds of the waves, we’ll enjoy a generous breakfast at the hotel, with fresh fruit, eggs, yogurt, good bread, maybe a cappuchino and a chocolate crossaint, and plenty of other options to set you up for the day.
Then you’re free to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Maybe you’ll spend a few hours on a sunbed by the pool, take a swim in the crystal-clear sea, read your book in the shade by the pool, or simply lie there with absolutely nowhere you need to be.
On some afternoons, we’ll have a well-being workshop or head out to experience a little more of Greece. Other afternoons will be completely free. You might find yourself exploring the island, lingering over a long lunch with a cold drink, or deciding that the only thing on your agenda is another dip in the blue ocean.
In the evening, we’ll come together for another yoga practice, usually around sunset. One evening, we’ll even practice later at night, under the stars. Then we’ll sit down together for dinner and enjoy delicious Greek food, whether we’re eating at the hotel or heading out to a local taverna.
So while every day will look a little different, the rhythm stays the same: move, explore, eat well, connect, slow down, and have plenty of time to yourself.
You’ll have the chance to experience a lot, without feeling like you have to be somewhere or do something all the time. You can join everything, skip something, sleep in, take a long swim, have another coffee, or spend an afternoon doing very little. It’s your retreat, and you get to make it your own.

No, you don’t need any previous yoga experience to join and enjoy the yoga practices.
In the mornings, we’ll practice gentle MediYoga, with a focus on movement, breathing, and connecting with the body. One morning, we’ll have a more energetic Yogalates session, combining yoga with a mini workout for the core.
In the evenings, we’ll practice a mix of yoga flow, yin yoga, and restorative yoga, to give you plenty of opportunities to slow down and relax.
Each day, we’ll explore a new theme through our yoga practice. We’ll also incorporate meditation and pranayama (breathing techniques) in our practices.
We’ll practice in beautiful surroundings, either outside at the hotel’s amphitheater or down by the beach.
The yoga sessions are relatively gentle and suitable for all levels, including beginners. We will show you different options throughout the practices so you can choose what feels supportive for your body that day.

We’ve created the retreat program with a lot of care and intention, with a balance of yoga, well-being activities, time to explore, and plenty of free time to relax and enjoy.
Everything on the program is optional. If you feel like skipping a yoga session, sleeping in one morning, or simply having some extra time to yourself, that’s absolutely fine. We want you to have the freedom to make the retreat your own.

September is our absolute favorite month to be in Greece. The peak summer crowds have started to ease, the temperatures are more comfortable than in July and August, and the sea is still warm after a long, hot summer.
For the beginning of September, you can expect average daytime temperatures around 28–29°C (82–84°F) and evenings around 22°C (72°F). The sea is typically around 26°C (79°F), so it’s perfect for swimming. Of course, weather can vary from year to year, but you can expect plenty of sunshine and warm days that are perfect for yoga, swimming, exploring the island, and enjoying long evenings outside.
For us, it’s a really amazing time to enjoy Greece. Still very much summer, but without quite the intensity of the peak season.

Great food is a big part of this retreat. We want you to slow down, savor your meals, and enjoy plenty of delicious, authentic Greek food throughout the week.
Breakfast is included and served as a generous buffet at the hotel, with eggs, vegetables, fresh fruit, yogurt, bread and pastries, cereal, coffee, tea, juices, and more. It’s the kind of breakfast that sets you up well for the day.
Lunch is not included, so you can choose what you feel like eating and when. You can choose to join the group for lunch or eat by yourself if you crave a more quiet lunch that day. The hotel’s beach bar has a great selection, including salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, smoothies, and Greek dishes.
Dinner will be a mix of meals at the hotel and our favorite local tavernas. We’ll also have an open fire barbecue night at the hotel. You’ll choose what you’d like to eat from the menu. Dinner beverages are not included, but you’re welcome to order whatever you’d like and pay for it separately.
There are no restrictions around food or alcohol on the retreat. You choose what works for you.
If you have allergies or dietary preferences, just let us know in advance. We can accommodate food restrictions and there are plenty of delicious vegetarian options too.

Getting to the retreat is pretty simple. You’ll book your own flight to Athens, make your way to our meeting point at Port Piraeus, and from there, we’ll take care of the rest.
We’ll meet at Port Piraeus, by Gate E9, at 2:15pm local time on Wednesday, September 1st. From there, we’ll take the ferry together to Aegina. Your ferry ticket is included in the retreat price, and we’ll take care of booking it for you.
Before the retreat, you’ll just need to:
Book your flight to Athens International Airport
Arrange your own transportation from the airport to Port Piraeus (via taxi or metero)
Arrange your journey home from Port Piraeus after the retreat
Have appropriate travel insurance
The retreat ends at Port Piraeus at around 2:30pm on Monday, September 6th, so you’ll want to keep this in mind when booking your flights and allow enough time for your journey to and from the port.
Once we meet at the port, you can lean back and enjoy the ride. We’ll take care of the ferry and all the retreat logistics and transportation while you’re with us.
And if you’re not familiar with getting around Athens or Greece, don’t worry. We’re happy to answer questions and help you figure out the easiest way to get to the meeting point.
We’ve also written a packing list for the things we suggest that you bring, you’ll find it on the last page of the retreat program.

Absolutely! As you book your own travel to and from Greece, you can definitely combine the retreat with a longer stay in Greece, for example some days in Athens or a stay at a different island before and/or after the retreat. Many previous participants have done so and really enjoyed some estra time to enjoy Greece.

Our retreats tend to attract a lovely mix of people from different ages, backgrounds, and parts of the world. Some have been practicing yoga for years, while others are relatively new to it. You don’t need to be an experienced yogi to join this retreat. Beginners are very welcome.
What our attendees tend to have in common is that they’re curious, open to new experiences, and excited to take some time for themselves. You might be coming on your own, with a partner, or with a friend. Many people come alone, and it’s a very easy place to connect with others.
If you’re open-minded, curious, and excited to do something a little different for yourself, you’ll probably feel right at home.
-
That’s absolutely fine. You don’t need to be fully fluent in English to enjoy the retreat.
We’ve had participants with different levels of English before, and you’ll never need to feel self-conscious about it. There will be many of opportunities to communicate in Norwegian as well, and we’ll make sure you have everything you need to feel comfortable and included throughout the retreat.
The yoga sessions and most of the shared program will be in English, but you’re very welcome to speak Norwegian when you prefer.

Maybe you’ve been thinking about it, but you’re not quite sure. Maybe it feels like a big investment, or you’re wondering if you should really take the time for yourself.
I get it. Giving yourself permission to spend the money, take the time off, and actually say “yes, I want this” can feel a little stretchy.
But if something in you is saying yes, I’d encourage you to listen to that. You don’t need to have a big reason or wait until you feel like you’ve earned it. You can simply want the experience and let yourself have it.
And if you’re wondering about coming alone, I’d especially encourage you to take the leap. Many people come on their own, and you’ll be part of a small group of people who are there for the same reason. You’ll meet new people, have good conversations, and hopefully leave with some new connections and really good memories.
If you feel drawn to this retreat, or you feel like you’d connect with the kind of experience we’re creating, maybe this is your sign to let yourself have it. Payment plans without interest are available too.
If you have other questions before deciding to go, I’m more than happy to have a call with you to give you more information. It’ll be a relaxed conversation without any pressure to sign up. Just contact me, and we can set that up.
-
Amazing! You can secure your spot here.
Once you’ve signed up, I’ll send you an invoice for the retreat and an email with the information you need to start planning your trip.
Closer to the retreat, we’ll also create a WhatsApp group for everyone attending. It’ll be a place to share practical information, updates, and get to know each other a little before we meet in Greece.
And that’s it. You’re in. Now you can start looking forward to it!

Hi, I’m Cecilie
Your Retreat Leader, Workshop Facilitator, & Yoga Teacher
I couldn’t be more excited to invite you to retreat with me to Greece!
In my opinion, going on retreat is the absolute best way to travel. I’ve created this retreat with a lot of intention and care, and it has evolved beautifully over the 3 previous years I’ve hosted this retreat.
In this retreat, I’m weaving together the things I’m most passionate about — yoga, well-being psychology, great food, community, and the joy of exploring new places — to create a meaningful experience that feel both grounding and expanding. I can’t wait to share all of this, and more, with you!
